I will overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two-time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
