The Turin Giants Appoint Previous Italian National Team Boss Luciano Spalletti

The Serie A powerhouse have chosen ex- Italy boss the veteran manager to lead the team until the end of the season.

The experienced coach steps in for the Croatian manager, who was sacked after the Serie A side's defeat by Lazio last weekend.

Tudor arrived at the club in March to replace Thiago Motta but exited following a seven-month stint after an eight-game winless streak.

Spalletti guided Napoli to the Serie A crown in 2022-23 before taking charge of Italy, which missed out on the 2022 World Cup under former boss Roberto Mancini.

Under his guidance, they made it to Euro 2024 exiting in the last 16 stage against Switzerland.

Nonetheless, Italy dismissed Spalletti in June following a loss to Norway in World Cup qualifying, putting Italy in danger of missing a third straight World Cup.

Spalletti's managerial career includes Inter Milan, Roma, and Udinese in Serie A and lifted the Russian league trophy twice while at Zenit St Petersburg.

Juventus were temporarily led by Massimo Brambilla in the midweek 3-1 triumph over Udinese which left them seventh in Serie A - six points behind leaders Napoli after nine games.

Their Champions League campaign sees them in 25th place in the group stage, having lost once and drawn twice in their opening three matches.
